It’s  official new  Facebook simplified home page was out on 5 Feb 2010. I’ve been waiting for Facebook to change the new  home page on my account for the past couple of days and finally I got this.

Let’s take a look at what were changed in the new Facebook home page. There are some change in this new design like now New requests, messages, and notifications are set on top left near facebook logo It  has been simplified to make it easier to get to what’s new and important. They are using icons for requests, messages, and notifications light up when there’s something new you won’t want to miss.  and search box also shifted to the top left after logo and notifications. Now search box , home and profile… menu are accessible at the top of every page.

On left menu section has been organized to make it easier for you to find and discover content from friends, read your messages, see what your friends are up to, access applications and more. Menus like  News Feed, Messages and your Friends – are at the top, making it easier to keep up with what’s new. you’ve bookmarked have moved up the page for easy access. The new Applications and Games dashboards help you discover new and interesting information from your friends.  Also on Friends Online provides quick links to chat with your friends, or quickly go online yourself. To edit your options, find Facebook Chat in the bottom bar.

so these are the modifications facebook has done to make its interface more usable. So I hope we’ll see these kind of changes in near future as long as users grow in facebook.
